The idea behind the syrup was one of Peppermint Mocha’s ingredients however, over time, it has been included in other drinks. Hence, during its initial days, the syrup was only available seasonally. The company envisioned the syrup as part of the Peppermint mocha holiday drink. Starbucks debuted peppermint syrup back in 2002.
